16 was a six month long art project between two San Francisco artists that culminated in an exhibition on November 4, 2006. It was an examination of adolescence and the adult society it reflects as pieces from the artists' past were repurposed and 'framed' through their adult perspectives.
Began on April 17, 2006 and ending on November 4, the project's planning and creation closely mirrored the dynamics of teenage life, with thematic parallels of collaboration, sharing & taking turns, fitting in and peer pressure, love, jealousy, creativity and fear crossing time and age boundaries.
